We stayed at the Glendevon for 3 nights.The room was clean but some small details missed - bin not emptied, no tea making facilities refilled and the toilet paper came very close to running out! I tried to find a member of staff on reception, but nobody was there or around the premises.Overall a pleasant stay and the staff (when around) were very friendly and helpful

For that price we’re not waiting luxury hotel. Was really hot 31 degrees outside of course hot in room but in our house in London is hot too. We paid only £48 per night air condition hotel cost £220. Staff is really helpful room was ok

The rooms were clean and tidy, however very old fashioned. Highly not reccommend to stay in room number 2 as the smell is unbearable. Not sure if it’s the same in other rooms too.

Ok for what we needed

My friend and I stayed at Glendevon whilst in town for a gig, we had a twin room that on arrival was spacious, clean, had an extra bed, a newly fitted kitchen and what looked like a freshly fitted and super clean bathroom too, the beds were comfy enough and the amenities were perfect for a room that only cost just over £20. Thanks for a great stay!

Good location. Room OK, needs some redecoration butforthe price andlocation was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly, the place they suggested forbreakfast was excellent. only 15" TV butfine. Instant tea/coffee/kettle OK. As itwas only a base to sleep in it was great. Bed comfortable, and remade daily. Shower was OK.

Having read the reviews, was expecting the worst to be honest!! But, staff at reception very friendly, easy check in. Room basic and dated, furniture old and tired but all very clean. Bed freshly made, bright white bedding, clean towels, soap, shower gel, kettle, tea, coffee etc, tv, hairdryer.... shower feeble but worked and a clean bathroom. Really cannot fault the hotel. Worth the price as it meant we could have a night away. Parking close by £10 for 24 hours. That was a bonus too.. So pleased we came

We had a very pleasant stay,staff were friendly and the room was large and comfortable and close to the beach and to the uni,which was why we used it

Room was clean, bed very comfortable but overhead shower not ideal when you don't want wet hair. Wifi was good and available in our room which i was very happy about. 24 hour reception with friendly and helpful staff. Public areas were clean. The only negative would be that breakfast would be very boring if staying longer than two nights but ideal for what we had.

I stayed with my friend for two nights in a twin room, the Room was very clean and well presented, we didn’t bother with breakfast so I can’t comment, but I would definitely return, the only down side is no parking, but it looked like most of the hotels were the same, we were lucky and got a space outside on there road so just didn’t move the car until we were ready to go home, I can imageine in the summer months it’s a bit of a nightmare.Great value for money, close to the beach and a short walk to the shops, restaurants and bars.

The rooms were clean, bedding was fresh, bathroom was clean and amenities (Tea, coffee, kettle etc) all fine, though we were lacking milk.Breakfast was good, continental buffet style, toast and croissants, butter and preserves, selection of cereals and fruit juices, yogurt, ham, cheese, freshly boiled eggs.The hotel itself could do with a little TLC; stairway carpet is showing wear, the bedroom ceiling had watermarks from previous leaks, but for a stay that worked out at £15 per person per night in the middle of January, it was perfectly acceptable.

Very clean and comfortable room.Staff is extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.Location is also great-only a few minutes to the beach.Cosy and comfortable atmosphere.I am delighted and I strongly recommend this place.

I stayed there for a night. From welcoming at reception to next day morning breakfast my stay was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good price which included breakfast. Room was clean . A perfect booking to go around beach and relax. Definitely will visit again .

Already left a good review with Bookin. But just to repeat the comments the hotel is great value especially if you are on a budget the hotel is clean and the staff friendly. Decor is a little tired but that did not matter. Hotel location is ideal to both beach and town centre and parking is available around 100 yards away with reasnable cost for 24 hours

The hotel was everything we needed it to be and the breakfast was amazing.

The hotel is worth every pennies you spend. Rooms are clean and spacious, staffs are decent, nice area with lot of free car parking and great breakfast.

The gentleman on reception was brilliant. Very helpful. Had a problem with the tv and he just changed the toom. No fuss. The buffet breakfast was good. All the food was fresh and the tables kept clean

This is the 4th time staying there. Apart from an issue with overbooking things were good overall.The reception staff were really nice. The breakfast was nice... although changed a bit from the other years ... would of been nice for the kids to have croissants, chocolate spread and fruit.Rooms were adequate, clean and comfortable.The triple room had issues with the shower and shower door.In the 5 bedroom could of done with more toilet roll and in all rooms more tea/coffee.Apart from that ... great ... even the location.

After a read of reviews online I was surprised when visiting the Glendevon Hotel to find it an enjoyable visit. It was very clean and we were supplied with plenty of supplies which we needed. The location of the hotel in an older, poorer area of the town and some of the indoor decor were the only downsides we had to our stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Excellent warm room, with good basic facilities.Breakfast a little haphazard, but a very minor matter in the grand scheme of things.All staff pleasant and helpful. Should you are looking for a little more luxury, then maybe not your kind of hotel, but otherwise, unable to fault.

Hi,I like this hotel, I've stayed here not at the first time.The stuff is very polite, the rooms are clean,the transport is also good.You are near the the heart of the city, near to the seaside too.Very good location!

Very good value for moneyshower was Clean and bed was comfortable.the breakfast was fresh and hot ,staff was also very helpful.

A friend recommended this hotel it's a really nice place not far from the town centre, helpful staff comfy room and breakfast was good.

Although the hotel is very dated it was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The member of staff who was on the reception desk the night of my stay was friendly and went out of his way to help me when I asked.

Dear Mr Yay, i am sorry you had a problem with your water pressure in your room, i am sure if you had mentioned this while you were here we could of sorted this out for you or given you an alternative room if the problem could not been solved.

after changing to a room with a secure door lock... room was fine, clean , new towels everyday. Shower was bad and sometimes cold, mainly due to large old building and low water pressure i believe. Breakfast was non existent on monday ... all lights were off nothing set out... asked at reception and they went off to call someone... bizarre, otherwise breakfast was there for the rest of the week and cooked buffet was nice. Although got turned away once as my room no. wasn't listed as having breakfast and didn't have time to find the person at reception before work.... But overall was cheap and adqeduate for a week whilst i worked, reception was friendly and helpful when they were about. I wouldn't want to stay longer especially not if i was on holiday as showers were terrible and also hot water was timed an not on at certain points of the day.

Dear Mr Powell, Thankyou for your comments we are pleased that your room was clean enough for you. We do sometimes experience low water pressure due to the age of the building this is something we are trying to rectify. Breakfast hours are 8.00 - 9.00 midweek, i am sorry you were left of the list the day you were turned away. There is always someone on reception 24/7, perhaps they were called away from reception for 5mins or so.
